Helly Nahmad Gallery, Central London
The purpose of this project was to create separate office spaces for the owner and his brother within an existing gallery space.
The gallery is concerned mainly with paintings by twentieth century masters.
A restricted palette of unfinished stretched canvas, varnished timber and painted plaster was chosen to deliberately connect with the constituent materials of the paintings themselves.
Strength and delicacy combine in the use of those materials to provide stylish offices with a timeless quality to complement the works of art on display.
